Narrative:

At xa:30 I obtained a full WX briefing from oakland FSS and filed 5 flight (IFR) plans. One NOTAM was for changes to VFR flight in 'enhanced class B' airspace. I asked the briefer to explain enhanced to me. He said, 'within class B.' I usually get a pop-up approach from bay TRACON if I need one to get into hwd. Since the airspace and limitations have been changing very rapidly I was glad to hear I could now depart ccr VFR -- the day before I was on hold with oak center for 35 minutes and still didn't get a clearance -- I indicated to the briefer I would depart ccr VFR and get an approach into hwd. He never stated class B now goes to the ground and up to infinity. After departing ccr VFR I called bay for advisories and an approach into hwd. He was helpful in giving me a code then vectors then asked me to call him when I got down due to a class B penetration without a clearance.

Narrative: AT XA:30 I OBTAINED A FULL WX BRIEFING FROM OAKLAND FSS AND FILED 5 FLT (IFR) PLANS. ONE NOTAM WAS FOR CHANGES TO VFR FLT IN 'ENHANCED CLASS B' AIRSPACE. I ASKED THE BRIEFER TO EXPLAIN ENHANCED TO ME. HE SAID, 'WITHIN CLASS B.' I USUALLY GET A POP-UP APCH FROM BAY TRACON IF I NEED ONE TO GET INTO HWD. SINCE THE AIRSPACE AND LIMITATIONS HAVE BEEN CHANGING VERY RAPIDLY I WAS GLAD TO HEAR I COULD NOW DEPART CCR VFR -- THE DAY BEFORE I WAS ON HOLD WITH OAK CENTER FOR 35 MINUTES AND STILL DIDN'T GET A CLRNC -- I INDICATED TO THE BRIEFER I WOULD DEPART CCR VFR AND GET AN APCH INTO HWD. HE NEVER STATED CLASS B NOW GOES TO THE GROUND AND UP TO INFINITY. AFTER DEPARTING CCR VFR I CALLED BAY FOR ADVISORIES AND AN APCH INTO HWD. HE WAS HELPFUL IN GIVING ME A CODE THEN VECTORS THEN ASKED ME TO CALL HIM WHEN I GOT DOWN DUE TO A CLASS B PENETRATION WITHOUT A CLRNC.
