Narrative:

After following all safety procedures as of 10/mon/01, I flew a flight from yul to dfw. My number 2 flight attendant's name sounded middle eastern. He had all company and airport ids and his name was on the crew list. Everything checked out as per air carrier procedures. Upon arrival at dfw I was met by a special agent, a federal marshall, INS agent, and a company suit. They wanted me to identification XXXX for them. I asked what it was about, but they would not tell me. I am expected to instill confidence in our passenger, crew, etc, and am responsible for many lives in addition to my own. I cannot discriminate or make anyone feel bad. But I do believe I deserve to know what goes on on my aircraft. These are difficult times, but keep us informed.

Title: A PIC RPT COMPLAINING OF THE INTERROGATION OF ONE OF HIS MALE FLT ATTENDANTS BY A CADRE OF GOV'T AGENTS, INCLUDING THE INS DEPT WHEN ARR ON A FLT TO DFW, TX.

Narrative: AFTER FOLLOWING ALL SAFETY PROCS AS OF 10/MON/01, I FLEW A FLT FROM YUL TO DFW. MY NUMBER 2 FLT ATTENDANT'S NAME SOUNDED MIDDLE EASTERN. HE HAD ALL COMPANY AND ARPT IDS AND HIS NAME WAS ON THE CREW LIST. EVERYTHING CHKED OUT AS PER ACR PROCS. UPON ARR AT DFW I WAS MET BY A SPECIAL AGENT, A FEDERAL MARSHALL, INS AGENT, AND A COMPANY SUIT. THEY WANTED ME TO ID XXXX FOR THEM. I ASKED WHAT IT WAS ABOUT, BUT THEY WOULD NOT TELL ME. I AM EXPECTED TO INSTILL CONFIDENCE IN OUR PAX, CREW, ETC, AND AM RESPONSIBLE FOR MANY LIVES IN ADDITION TO MY OWN. I CANNOT DISCRIMINATE OR MAKE ANYONE FEEL BAD. BUT I DO BELIEVE I DESERVE TO KNOW WHAT GOES ON ON MY ACFT. THESE ARE DIFFICULT TIMES, BUT KEEP US INFORMED.
