Narrative:
We were operating from ZZZ, first officer, to miami, fl. Takeoff, cruise, and descent were normal. The ATIS at mia reported land-and-hold-short operations were in progress. When we contacted mia approach I advised them we were unable to conduct land-and-hold short operations. This is a company policy. We flew the ILS to runway 9R. On landing rollout, the tower advised us to turn left at taxiway 'V' or hold short of runway 12. I told them we were unable and needed to go to the end. The tower told us to expedite crossing runway 12, there was landing traffic on a 1 mi final. Crossing runway 12 I noted the landing aircraft an air carrier B757 at approximately 300 ft AGL on final. The air carrier stated that 'I don't like this.' mia tower advised the B757 to 'go around.' we cleared at the end of runway 12 and taxied to parking. From my perspective, our aircraft would have cleared runway 12 at the same time as the air carrier B757 touched down. Also, we were 'cleared to land,' we were not given a land-and-hold-short clearance, therefore, we had every right to use the entire runway length.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: B747 CREW, ON LNDG ROLL ON 9R IN MIA, WAS ASSIGNED A TURNOFF ON TXWY V OR HOLD SHORT OF RWY 12-30 FOR A LNDG B757-200 ON RWY 12. CREW HAD PREVIOUSLY TOLD THE APCH CTLR THEY WERE UNABLE TO ACCEPT A LAHSO CLRNC.
Narrative: WE WERE OPERATING FROM ZZZ, FO, TO MIAMI, FL. TKOF, CRUISE, AND DSCNT WERE NORMAL. THE ATIS AT MIA RPTED LAND-AND-HOLD-SHORT OPS WERE IN PROGRESS. WHEN WE CONTACTED MIA APCH I ADVISED THEM WE WERE UNABLE TO CONDUCT LAND-AND-HOLD SHORT OPS. THIS IS A COMPANY POLICY. WE FLEW THE ILS TO RWY 9R. ON LNDG ROLLOUT, THE TWR ADVISED US TO TURN L AT TXWY 'V' OR HOLD SHORT OF RWY 12. I TOLD THEM WE WERE UNABLE AND NEEDED TO GO TO THE END. THE TWR TOLD US TO EXPEDITE XING RWY 12, THERE WAS LNDG TFC ON A 1 MI FINAL. XING RWY 12 I NOTED THE LNDG ACFT AN ACR B757 AT APPROX 300 FT AGL ON FINAL. THE ACR STATED THAT 'I DON'T LIKE THIS.' MIA TWR ADVISED THE B757 TO 'GO AROUND.' WE CLRED AT THE END OF RWY 12 AND TAXIED TO PARKING. FROM MY PERSPECTIVE, OUR ACFT WOULD HAVE CLRED RWY 12 AT THE SAME TIME AS THE ACR B757 TOUCHED DOWN. ALSO, WE WERE 'CLRED TO LAND,' WE WERE NOT GIVEN A LAND-AND-HOLD-SHORT CLRNC, THEREFORE, WE HAD EVERY RIGHT TO USE THE ENTIRE RWY LENGTH.
