Narrative:
After leveling off and after performing cruise checklist on a ferry flight we were given a substantial reroute. During this time, we were busy entering information into the GPS and xchecking all raw data and coordinating with dispatch regarding the new route. We inadvertently burned into our ballast fuel. We caught the oversight fairly quickly, but due to an empty airplane it was enough to alter the cg to the point where we had to burn additional fuel in the wing tanks prior to landing. We called dispatch and had them coordination with load control to verify what our numbers for landing needed to be. They passed the required information to us confirming that we had the safe cg for landing. Landing was uneventful after executing 2 turns in holding to burn the additional fuel.
