Narrative:
On oct/wed/01, I contacted mr X. An arrangement had been made with mr X to make a part 91 flight from ZZZ to ZZZ1 and return on nov/thu/01. Mr X told me that arrangements were made for a waiver, which would allow us to land at ZZZ1 airport. On nov/thu/01, the flight proceeded normally until the changeover from ZZZ departure to ZZZ1 approach. I was the PNF and working the radios. The initial call to ZZZ1 approach was made at 8000 ft with the particular ATIS information. The controller abruptly told us to turn to a particular heading, and he cleared us to ZZZ2 airport. I told him that we had a waiver. He said that he was not going to discuss it. We were given several unusual heading changes while en route to ZZZ2 airport. ZZZ2 approach had us fly over the airport at 4000 ft and land on runway 12. We were told to taxi to the end of the runway and take the last taxiway. There we were given another unusual frequency and told to follow the vehicle ahead. We were parked at the large run-up area beside runways 30 and 1L. Police cars with flashing lights surrounded our aircraft. Meeting us were fbi agents and airport security. I was told that I should have given a 'password' to the ZZZ1 approach controller on initial contact. I explained that no one had told me about the 'password' requirement. I called ZZZ1 approach after we parked at the FBO. They told me to call traffic management. The gentleman with traffic management who answered the telephone told me that 'yes, you need a password,' but he was not willing to further explain. I realize that in these troubled times, security is extremely important. But if we are to succeed, we must work together and communicate better.

Title: A KING AIR ACFT IS REFUSED PERMISSION TO LAND AT ZZZ1 WHEN CALLING APCH CTL WITH THE ATIS. PLT DID NOT KNOW OPERATIONAL VOICE PROC REQUIRED AND WAS VECTORED OUT OF THE AREA TO LAND FOR INVESTIGATION AT ZZZ2 ARPT.
Narrative: ON OCT/WED/01, I CONTACTED MR X. AN ARRANGEMENT HAD BEEN MADE WITH MR X TO MAKE A PART 91 FLT FROM ZZZ TO ZZZ1 AND RETURN ON NOV/THU/01. MR X TOLD ME THAT ARRANGEMENTS WERE MADE FOR A WAIVER, WHICH WOULD ALLOW US TO LAND AT ZZZ1 ARPT. ON NOV/THU/01, THE FLT PROCEEDED NORMALLY UNTIL THE CHANGEOVER FROM ZZZ DEP TO ZZZ1 APCH. I WAS THE PNF AND WORKING THE RADIOS. THE INITIAL CALL TO ZZZ1 APCH WAS MADE AT 8000 FT WITH THE PARTICULAR ATIS INFO. THE CTLR ABRUPTLY TOLD US TO TURN TO A PARTICULAR HDG, AND HE CLRED US TO ZZZ2 ARPT. I TOLD HIM THAT WE HAD A WAIVER. HE SAID THAT HE WAS NOT GOING TO DISCUSS IT. WE WERE GIVEN SEVERAL UNUSUAL HDG CHANGES WHILE ENRTE TO ZZZ2 ARPT. ZZZ2 APCH HAD US FLY OVER THE ARPT AT 4000 FT AND LAND ON RWY 12. WE WERE TOLD TO TAXI TO THE END OF THE RWY AND TAKE THE LAST TXWY. THERE WE WERE GIVEN ANOTHER UNUSUAL FREQ AND TOLD TO FOLLOW THE VEHICLE AHEAD. WE WERE PARKED AT THE LARGE RUN-UP AREA BESIDE RWYS 30 AND 1L. POLICE CARS WITH FLASHING LIGHTS SURROUNDED OUR ACFT. MEETING US WERE FBI AGENTS AND ARPT SECURITY. I WAS TOLD THAT I SHOULD HAVE GIVEN A 'PASSWORD' TO THE ZZZ1 APCH CTLR ON INITIAL CONTACT. I EXPLAINED THAT NO ONE HAD TOLD ME ABOUT THE 'PASSWORD' REQUIREMENT. I CALLED ZZZ1 APCH AFTER WE PARKED AT THE FBO. THEY TOLD ME TO CALL TFC MGMNT. THE GENTLEMAN WITH TFC MGMNT WHO ANSWERED THE TELEPHONE TOLD ME THAT 'YES, YOU NEED A PASSWORD,' BUT HE WAS NOT WILLING TO FURTHER EXPLAIN. I REALIZE THAT IN THESE TROUBLED TIMES, SECURITY IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. BUT IF WE ARE TO SUCCEED, WE MUST WORK TOGETHER AND COMMUNICATE BETTER.
