Narrative:
XXXX was assigned a route direct abi, direct guy, shortly after departing crp. Pilot of XXXX entered abi, but erred in not specifying VOR, not airport. XXXX missed his assigned route by 10.2 NM (east), passing over abi airport, not abi VOR. When questioned on his route, the pilot admitted his error. Check what you input is what you are supposed to do!! Not a problem, this time.

Narrative: XXXX WAS ASSIGNED A RTE DIRECT ABI, DIRECT GUY, SHORTLY AFTER DEPARTING CRP. PLT OF XXXX ENTERED ABI, BUT ERRED IN NOT SPECIFYING VOR, NOT ARPT. XXXX MISSED HIS ASSIGNED RTE BY 10.2 NM (E), PASSING OVER ABI ARPT, NOT ABI VOR. WHEN QUESTIONED ON HIS RTE, THE PLT ADMITTED HIS ERROR. CHK WHAT YOU INPUT IS WHAT YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO DO!!
