Narrative:

The tower controller at kiwa issued a clearance to cross the runway 30L approach end and hold short of the 30C runway. I was looking for the 30L runway end, but since it is only an approach hold short there are no runways to cross, just a sign and line. So, when I saw the first runway (30C) I assumed it was runway 30L and proceeded to start across it. I then realized that I was indeed now on runway 30C. We (the crew) did clear (look for traffic) the area for any traffic before even crossing runway 30L, there was no other traffic. The controller cleared us for takeoff on runway 30R with no further confusion. The lesson learned was to be more careful when crossing multiple parallel runways even if one is only an approach end of a runway.

Title: AN FA50 CREW, TAXIING FOR TKOF AT KIWA, TAXIED ACROSS A RWY THEY WERE TO HOLD SHORT OF.

Narrative: THE TWR CTLR AT KIWA ISSUED A CLRNC TO CROSS THE RWY 30L APCH END AND HOLD SHORT OF THE 30C RWY. I WAS LOOKING FOR THE 30L RWY END, BUT SINCE IT IS ONLY AN APCH HOLD SHORT THERE ARE NO RWYS TO CROSS, JUST A SIGN AND LINE. SO, WHEN I SAW THE FIRST RWY (30C) I ASSUMED IT WAS RWY 30L AND PROCEEDED TO START ACROSS IT. I THEN REALIZED THAT I WAS INDEED NOW ON RWY 30C. WE (THE CREW) DID CLR (LOOK FOR TFC) THE AREA FOR ANY TFC BEFORE EVEN CROSSING RWY 30L, THERE WAS NO OTHER TFC. THE CTLR CLRED US FOR TKOF ON RWY 30R WITH NO FURTHER CONFUSION. THE LESSON LEARNED WAS TO BE MORE CAREFUL WHEN CROSSING MULTIPLE PARALLEL RWYS EVEN IF ONE IS ONLY AN APCH END OF A RWY.
