Narrative:

I was on final for runway 26R with ATIS reporting winds from 180 degrees at 12 KTS. I was holding wind correction, and the rudder was almost all the way to the right. I was tracking the centerline of the runway and landed on the centerline. After I landed and the airplane started to slow down, the airplane started drifting to the right on the runway, and I pressed the left rudder pedal. I then noticed that the airplane was leaning to the right, so I decided to take my feet off the pedal and let the airplane roll to a stop. The airplane rolled off the runway to the right, and it stopped about 30 ft to the side of the runway on the grass. There was no damage to the airplane or on the ground. The situation probably occurred because I did not add enough wind correction as the airplane slowed down during rollout after landing.

Title: A C172 PLT, WHILE LNDG AT SUS WITH A XWIND, DEPARTED THE R SIDE OF THE RWY.

Narrative: I WAS ON FINAL FOR RWY 26R WITH ATIS RPTING WINDS FROM 180 DEGS AT 12 KTS. I WAS HOLDING WIND CORRECTION, AND THE RUDDER WAS ALMOST ALL THE WAY TO THE R. I WAS TRACKING THE CTRLINE OF THE RWY AND LANDED ON THE CTRLINE. AFTER I LANDED AND THE AIRPLANE STARTED TO SLOW DOWN, THE AIRPLANE STARTED DRIFTING TO THE R ON THE RWY, AND I PRESSED THE L RUDDER PEDAL. I THEN NOTICED THAT THE AIRPLANE WAS LEANING TO THE R, SO I DECIDED TO TAKE MY FEET OFF THE PEDAL AND LET THE AIRPLANE ROLL TO A STOP. THE AIRPLANE ROLLED OFF THE RWY TO THE R, AND IT STOPPED ABOUT 30 FT TO THE SIDE OF THE RWY ON THE GRASS. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO THE AIRPLANE OR ON THE GND. THE SIT PROBABLY OCCURRED BECAUSE I DID NOT ADD ENOUGH WIND CORRECTION AS THE AIRPLANE SLOWED DOWN DURING ROLLOUT AFTER LNDG.
