Narrative:
PA32-260 cherokee 6 originated marion, iowa (C17), IFR rst to V82, fgt. Minneapolis center at fgt said, 'expect runway 32R for landing microphone (crystal, minnesota).' center vectored me to 3 miles west of microphone on base for runway 32. Tower at microphone said, 'follow skylane on base cleared to land.' I was looking for the skylane and only saw it when I turned final. It was less than a mile ahead. The skylane landed on runway 32L. I had runway 32R in my mind from center and landed runway 32R. Tower wanted me to land runway 32L and informed me after I landed. There was no other traffic on runway 32R. I would have been very close to the skylane ahead on runway 32L. I reached the FBO (to left of runway 32L) before the skylane.
