Narrative:
As first officer I left my seat to hand a cup of soup to the flight attendant. I did not leave the flight deck, FAA air safety inspector riding in the cabin section observed captain didn't don oxygen mask. Inspector and crew discussed the event on arrival. Inspector stated no action would be taken against the crew.

Title: AN AIRBUS IN CRUISE AT FL370 HAD THE FO LEAVE THE SEAT, BUT NOT THE FLT DECK. FAA SAFETY INSPECTOR NOTED CAPT NOT WEARING OXYGEN MASK.
Narrative: AS FO I LEFT MY SEAT TO HAND A CUP OF SOUP TO THE FLT ATTENDANT. I DID NOT LEAVE THE FLT DECK, FAA AIR SAFETY INSPECTOR RIDING IN THE CABIN SECTION OBSERVED CAPT DIDN'T DON OXYGEN MASK.
