Narrative:
During descent, the left engine began to sputter. I performed a precautionary engine shutdown and landed single engine without incident. At all times, the fuel quantity gauges indicated adequate fuel. I suspect an engine driven fuel pump failure.

Title: C402 PLT EXPERIENCED ROUGH ENG OP THAT REQUIRED AN INFLT ENG SHUTDOWN.
Narrative: DURING DSCNT, THE L ENG BEGAN TO SPUTTER. I PERFORMED A PRECAUTIONARY ENG SHUTDOWN AND LANDED SINGLE ENG WITHOUT INCIDENT. AT ALL TIMES, THE FUEL QUANTITY GAUGES INDICATED ADEQUATE FUEL. I SUSPECT AN ENG DRIVEN FUEL PUMP FAILURE.
