Narrative:
On takeoff (first day for crew) from bhm to ZZZ, noticed a significant vibration that appeared to be coming from nose gear area. I called maintenance to inspect nose gear area. After nose gear area and tires were inspected, a decision was made to change the nose gear tires. We then flew ZZZ-oak-ZZZ2 where the aircraft terminated for the night. No further vibration was experienced on takeoff or landing. Late the next morning in my hotel room in ZZZ2 I received a call from the captain who originated the same aircraft in ZZZ2 to inform me that his first officer found one radial tire and one bias tire on that aircraft. After discussion with maintenance control ZZZ2, contract maintenance was called and radial nose tire was taken off and bias nose tire was put on so to have 2 bias nose gear tires. Flight departed about 18 mins late from ZZZ2. When I received this information I did remember reading a notice which was a copy of a maintenance notice concerning changing over to -700 radial nose gear tires.
