Narrative:

On climb out to cruise, we experienced a r-hand generator failure. We completed the appropriate QRH generator off-line checklist. The r-hand generator did not reset. We began to experience various avionics failures to include the failure of all 4 EFIS screens and the temporary loss of some navigation, communication and intercom equipment. The QRH, although it contains no procedure for this event, and maintenance control were consulted. No solution arose from these efforts. In joint agreement with dispatch, we declared an emergency and returned to roc. All SOP's and subsequent checklists were complied with. We landed and taxied to the gate without further event.
