Narrative:

1000 ft after touchdown, tower informed us of smoke in the left gear. They suspected a blown tire. We did not notice any unusual sounds or aircraft feeling unusual. We proceeded with taxiing the aircraft off the runway. The fire equipment was standing by to access the left gear. We spoke to maintenance and the inspector. We advised the flight attendants of 'cabin advisory.' upon inspection, the left gear, left aft main tire brakes had locked up on touchdown, evident upon maintenance inspection. We taxied uneventfully to the gate.

Title: B767 IS CHKED FOR SMOKE COMING FROM LNDG GEAR AFTER LNDG ROLL.

Narrative: 1000 FT AFTER TOUCHDOWN, TWR INFORMED US OF SMOKE IN THE L GEAR. THEY SUSPECTED A BLOWN TIRE. WE DID NOT NOTICE ANY UNUSUAL SOUNDS OR ACFT FEELING UNUSUAL. WE PROCEEDED WITH TAXIING THE ACFT OFF THE RWY. THE FIRE EQUIP WAS STANDING BY TO ACCESS THE L GEAR. WE SPOKE TO MAINT AND THE INSPECTOR. WE ADVISED THE FLT ATTENDANTS OF 'CABIN ADVISORY.' UPON INSPECTION, THE L GEAR, L AFT MAIN TIRE BRAKES HAD LOCKED UP ON TOUCHDOWN, EVIDENT UPON MAINT INSPECTION. WE TAXIED UNEVENTFULLY TO THE GATE.
