Narrative:
Normal preflight and takeoff roll in a piper warrior, with a student pilot remaining in the pattern for touch and goes. Heard sound on takeoff about 50 ft AGL as if something hit the bottom of the plane. Requested fly by of tower, no right wheel and they could see it on the runway. Orbited at 2000 ft MSL within 5 SM of airport until fuel low on right tank then remained in pattern at 2000 ft until right tank empty. Switched to left tank, engine restarted, landed on runway 10. No injuries, minimal damage to aircraft. Takeoff at XA45, landing at XD15 local. I will increase vigilance on preflight. I will be even more sensitive to any anomalies on the takeoff roll. I will probably be more prone to abort takeoffs if indicated.

Title: PIPER PA28 RIGHT WHEEL FELL OFF DURING TKOF RESULTING IN AN EMER LNDG RESULTING IN ONLY MINOR ACFT DAMAGE AND NO STUDENT PLT OR INSTRUCTOR INJURY.
Narrative: NORMAL PREFLT AND TKOF ROLL IN A PIPER WARRIOR, WITH A STUDENT PLT REMAINING IN THE PATTERN FOR TOUCH AND GOES. HEARD SOUND ON TKOF ABOUT 50 FT AGL AS IF SOMETHING HIT THE BOTTOM OF THE PLANE. REQUESTED FLY BY OF TWR, NO RIGHT WHEEL AND THEY COULD SEE IT ON THE RWY. ORBITED AT 2000 FT MSL WITHIN 5 SM OF ARPT UNTIL FUEL LOW ON RIGHT TANK THEN REMAINED IN PATTERN AT 2000 FT UNTIL RIGHT TANK EMPTY. SWITCHED TO LEFT TANK, ENG RESTARTED, LANDED ON RWY 10. NO INJURIES, MINIMAL DAMAGE TO ACFT. TKOF AT XA45, LNDG AT XD15 LCL. I WILL INCREASE VIGILANCE ON PREFLT. I WILL BE EVEN MORE SENSITIVE TO ANY ANOMALIES ON THE TKOF ROLL. I WILL PROBABLY BE MORE PRONE TO ABORT TKOFS IF INDICATED.
