Narrative:

I was inbound to cheyenne for a fuel stop. Tower instructions were to report right base for runway 30. I saw the runway set up and reported right base. Controller cleared me to land. On short final, controller called and told me I was set up to land on runway 26 (not runway 30), but that was okay, clear to land runway 26. I apologized and read back my clearance. Landing was uneventful. Solution: I was stressed from burying my father-in-law 1 week and christmas the next week. Lots of emotion and stress with all the in-laws as dad was diagnosed mid-september and died only 3 months later. I should have recognized that I was under extra stress and chosen not to fly or just been more alert for potential problems.
