Narrative:
On takeoff from lgw, experienced a map shift which commanded aircraft to turn further right than necessary for navigation intercept. Went to heading select and immediately returned back to proper course. Supplemental information from acn 534447: took off from lgw on SID. Experienced a navigation map shift. Flight directors indicated a right turn to intercept departure radial. Captain followed flight director. When problem detected, captain immediately turned left to reintercept correct radial and departure. Switched to departure frequency and received vectors. No conflict occurred. Total deviation less than 1 mi.
