Narrative:
Flight XXXX departed jfk at XA00 and at XA11 climbed to 8000 ft completed cruise checklist. Shortly after that, the right oil pressure gauge began to drop. It dropped into the 60 psi red zone, and then the right oil pressure annunciator illuminated. The crew accomplished a precautionary engine shutdown, declared an emergency, and contacted dispatch to let them know. The crew then accomplished a single engine landing in VMC to runway 31 at jax where the fire/rescue trucks followed the flight to the gate where the 12 passenger were deplaned.
