Narrative:
Departed ZZZ1 at XD10 for VFR flight to ZZZ. I, pilot, obtained briefing from flight service at XA15 before departure to gather WX, NOTAMS etc. Briefing did not include the recent dec/wed/01 extension of restricted area. I knowingly flew through the extended portion of the temporary restricted area. We were intercepted by an F16 and met by 4 law enforcement officials at destination. We were all detained at flight operations bldg for approximately 4 hours. Perhaps getting the information out sooner would have avoided this. It would be quite possible for a temperature restr area to be implemented while an aircraft is en route and the aircraft could violate the airspace with no knowledge that the temporary restr airspace exists. In this case I had all maps and charts on board. I even obtained a briefing from FSS and never received any information about the temporary restr airspace.
