Narrative:
Pilot was confused with instructions and confused runway 30 and runway 34 and their numbers. When in doubt, pilot should have asked for help. He was to hold short of runway 34, he did check for traffic, but did not hold short. This will never happen again. Pilot did not review airport diagram and understand ATIS completely.

Title: A GA PVT PLT CROSSES AN ACTIVE RWY THAT HE WAS SUPPOSED TO HOLD SHORT OF AT PWK, IL.
Narrative: PLT WAS CONFUSED WITH INSTRUCTIONS AND CONFUSED RWY 30 AND RWY 34 AND THEIR NUMBERS. WHEN IN DOUBT, PLT SHOULD HAVE ASKED FOR HELP. HE WAS TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 34, HE DID CHK FOR TFC, BUT DID NOT HOLD SHORT. THIS WILL NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN. PLT DID NOT REVIEW ARPT DIAGRAM AND UNDERSTAND ATIS COMPLETELY.
