Narrative:
During takeoff and beginning our climb out at bna on runway 20R, I noticed a large aircraft to the left of the runway. It seemed to be almost clear of runway 20R at taxiway K. We were airborne and climbing out but below 400 ft AGL. When we noticed the plane, we were abeam its tail and we were level with or above. I believe this aircraft crossed an active runway without clearance. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: captain said she was flying a B1900 type air carrier and caught a glimpse of a large aircraft tail over the runway edge just after becoming airborne. It was dark, but she estimated their altitude was approximately 70 ft when they crossed over the large transport. After landing at her destination, she called the tower and was told that an AN124 was being towed and was not where they were supposed to be, but clear of the runway.

Title: B1900 CREW JUST AIRBORNE AT NIGHT GOT A GLIMPSE OF A VERY LARGE ACFT WITHOUT LIGHTS WITH ITS TAIL HANGING OVER THE RWY EDGE LINE.
Narrative: DURING TKOF AND BEGINNING OUR CLBOUT AT BNA ON RWY 20R, I NOTICED A LARGE ACFT TO THE L OF THE RWY. IT SEEMED TO BE ALMOST CLR OF RWY 20R AT TXWY K. WE WERE AIRBORNE AND CLBING OUT BUT BELOW 400 FT AGL. WHEN WE NOTICED THE PLANE, WE WERE ABEAM ITS TAIL AND WE WERE LEVEL WITH OR ABOVE. I BELIEVE THIS ACFT CROSSED AN ACTIVE RWY WITHOUT CLRNC. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: CAPT SAID SHE WAS FLYING A B1900 TYPE ACR AND CAUGHT A GLIMPSE OF A LARGE ACFT TAIL OVER THE RWY EDGE JUST AFTER BECOMING AIRBORNE. IT WAS DARK, BUT SHE ESTIMATED THEIR ALT WAS APPROX 70 FT WHEN THEY CROSSED OVER THE LARGE TRANSPORT. AFTER LNDG AT HER DEST, SHE CALLED THE TWR AND WAS TOLD THAT AN AN124 WAS BEING TOWED AND WAS NOT WHERE THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO BE, BUT CLR OF THE RWY.
