Narrative:
After about 1 hour delay, we finally were ready for takeoff. We were about 1/2 way down the runway and all of a sudden all of the lights went off and about 2 seconds later we slammed on the brakes and I heard a loud bang. I thought we ran into something. Then about 10 seconds later the captain came on the PA system and told us that all was well. A few mins later we taxied off the runway and were told that we lost power and aborted takeoff and blew a tire.
