Narrative:
Aircraft was parked at the gate under the direction of a marshal. After deplaning it was discussed that the aircraft was directed to an improper stop point which resulted in wingtip contact with the aircraft on another gate. This incident is the result of unfamiliarity with aircraft type, gate design, and lack of vigilance on the part of ground personnel.
