Narrative:
No conflict occurred. I'm writing because I feel there is a need for a change and don't know where else to write. During repeated air carrier scheduled arrivals to kbtr it was difficult if not impossible to hear the ATIS far enough out to do any planning. The problem is that kbtr's 125.2 ATIS is the same as a houston center frequency. The houston ARTCC signal is much stronger and covers over the ATIS. We were unable to hear it clearly until below 10000 ft MSL. We asked baton rouge approach if there was a form he or we could fill out, and he was unable to find anything. The WX in kbtr this particular day was MVFR, and runway 13/31 was closed (notamed and we knew about it), but there could easily have been an unexpected surprise, with very little time to properly brief and set up the approach.
