Narrative:
This was the first time flying this STAR. We were told to descend via the korry one arrival. Second to the last crossing fix was 'brand,' cross brand at 11000 ft. Last crossing is 'korry' at 10000 ft. STAR distance is confusing at korry. STAR shows 'brand' 15 NM from rbv, underneath the 15 mi marker is a '5.' I confused this to mean korry DME distance was 5 mi from rbv. My estimate of korry DME was incorrect. The '5' meant, 5 mi between brand and korry, which put korry at 10 DME from rbv. I crossed 10 DME out of rbv at 10700 ft. Remainder of flight was uneventful. At the gate, I looked at the STAR again and realized my error. The STAR actually shows a more detailed area of the korry intersection to the left of the main depiction. I did not see this extra depiction because I had my chart folded over at that exact spot. The reason I had my chart folded was to avoid my chart from interfering with the flight controls. From now on, I will triple check a new chart/STAR that I fly. I will also not fold over my chart any more. I also feel the STAR should have a better depiction of the distance from rbv to korry intersection.
