Narrative:

On feb/tue/02, at approximately XA00 I was cleared to taxi from the ramp area at dec and on ground control was told to 'taxi to runway 30.' I did so and misunderstood the clearance and thought I was cleared to taxi onto runway 30. I taxied onto the runway and was advised that I had not been cleared to do so and that it constituted a runway incursion. I feel the SID would have not happened if the controller said to hold short of runway 30.

Title: A C206 PLT, TAXIING FOR TKOF AT DEC, MISUNDERSTOOD HIS CLRNC AND TAXIED ONTO THE ACTIVE RWY WITHOUT A CLRNC.

Narrative: ON FEB/TUE/02, AT APPROX XA00 I WAS CLRED TO TAXI FROM THE RAMP AREA AT DEC AND ON GND CTL WAS TOLD TO 'TAXI TO RWY 30.' I DID SO AND MISUNDERSTOOD THE CLRNC AND THOUGHT I WAS CLRED TO TAXI ONTO RWY 30. I TAXIED ONTO THE RWY AND WAS ADVISED THAT I HAD NOT BEEN CLRED TO DO SO AND THAT IT CONSTITUTED A RWY INCURSION. I FEEL THE SID WOULD HAVE NOT HAPPENED IF THE CTLR SAID TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 30.
