Narrative:
The captain had us put everything away and situation down about 40 mins before landing. About 1000 ft, we hit the most severe turbulence I've ever experienced. The plane violently lurched side to side, front to back. The captain decided to go around, we held for about 25 mins and landed without incident. I can only wonder, if we should have held before attempting the landing. I am glad we were all seated and safe. It was quite a terrifying experience.
