Narrative:
During climb out wbound from vero beach en route to georgetown, tx, both pilots heard a clearance to climb to FL230 and the other pilot acknowledged including the tail number xxxxx. There was no indication of another transmission at the same time and no reply to our acknowledgement. Through 13000 ft we were directed to 'just maintain 13000 ft' which I did as quickly as possible reversing our 2500 FPM climb at about 13400 ft. We discovered later that the clearance was intended for another aircraft and nobody caught the miscom until we were passing 13000 ft. I know that both of us will be paying much closer attention in the future and I hope that controller will too.
