Narrative:
My student had just passed his private pilot asel practical test. We were taxiing out of our parking spot in front of the examiner's office. We began to turn left and it appeared to me that our right wing would be clear of the hangars in front of us. Midway through the turn, I looked inside at my student who was telling me about his examination. I then heard a scraping noise and immediately put my feet on the brakes. I looked to our right and saw that our wingtip had made contact with the hangar door. The wingtip was broken, but there was no structural damage to the wing or wing skin. The hangar door had a small dent and scratch. I believe this could have been prevented if I had never looked away from the wingtips during the turn.
