Narrative:
While en route from anc to sea, we requested and were granted a climb from FL290 to FL330. During the climb, ATC directed a 30 degree right turn. Due to distrs from dealing with a medical emergency on board our aircraft, the copilot (who was flying) started a left turn but corrected back to the right. The slight delay in initiating the right turn resulted in a TCASII RA ('climb, climb, climb'). The other aircraft was in sight at all times and passed approximately 1 mi left and 1500 ft below. There were no radio xmissions from ATC during or after the event.

Title: MD80 FO MOMENTARILY TURNED THE OPPOSITE WAY WHEN RESPONDING TO ARTCC REQUEST TO TURN FOR TFC SEPARATION, RESULTING IN A TCASII RA.
Narrative: WHILE ENRTE FROM ANC TO SEA, WE REQUESTED AND WERE GRANTED A CLB FROM FL290 TO FL330. DURING THE CLB, ATC DIRECTED A 30 DEG R TURN. DUE TO DISTRS FROM DEALING WITH A MEDICAL EMER ON BOARD OUR ACFT, THE COPLT (WHO WAS FLYING) STARTED A L TURN BUT CORRECTED BACK TO THE R. THE SLIGHT DELAY IN INITIATING THE R TURN RESULTED IN A TCASII RA ('CLB, CLB, CLB'). THE OTHER ACFT WAS IN SIGHT AT ALL TIMES AND PASSED APPROX 1 MI L AND 1500 FT BELOW. THERE WERE NO RADIO XMISSIONS FROM ATC DURING OR AFTER THE EVENT.
