Narrative:
Aircraft was cleared direct keating (etg) VOR. Pilot read back 'beauty,' which turns out to be a fix along the arrival after etg. Radar controller caught bad readback and tried to correct pilot, but pilot did not acknowledge correction. Route discrepancy was not noticed until well across ZOB airspace. Rptedly, separation was never lost with other aircraft, but workload greatly increased at sector where error was noticed.
