Narrative:
Landed while still on approach control frequency. Approach control did not switch us to tower. We were distracted by a twin-engine GA aircraft overflying the ILS approach path. Approach control advised us of the traffic just as it turned yellow on the TCASII and showed to be at the same altitude as we were. Approach control said the traffic was at '1 O'clock position.' it was actually at '11 O'clock position.' after locating this traffic (while turning from base to final around 2800 ft), we should have been switched from approach control to tower. After giving us the traffic there was silence on the frequency. The traffic was close and we got a TA on TCASII at 2800 ft. I was distracted because this particular controller makes many mistakes and has an 'attitude.' he often overreacts giving us unnecessary heading changes and much too slow speeds. If questioned, he has reacted with hostility in the past. After landing and turning off the runway I noticed we were on approach control frequency. There were no other aircraft landing or taking off at the time of our landing.

Title: RWY INCURSION AND LNDG WITHOUT CLRNC WHEN THE PIC OF A B737-200 FAILS TO CHANGE FREQ TO THE TWR AFTER TURNING FINAL APCH TO HNL, HI.
Narrative: LANDED WHILE STILL ON APCH CTL FREQ. APCH CTL DID NOT SWITCH US TO TWR. WE WERE DISTRACTED BY A TWIN-ENG GA ACFT OVERFLYING THE ILS APCH PATH. APCH CTL ADVISED US OF THE TFC JUST AS IT TURNED YELLOW ON THE TCASII AND SHOWED TO BE AT THE SAME ALT AS WE WERE. APCH CTL SAID THE TFC WAS AT '1 O'CLOCK POS.' IT WAS ACTUALLY AT '11 O'CLOCK POS.' AFTER LOCATING THIS TFC (WHILE TURNING FROM BASE TO FINAL AROUND 2800 FT), WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN SWITCHED FROM APCH CTL TO TWR. AFTER GIVING US THE TFC THERE WAS SILENCE ON THE FREQ. THE TFC WAS CLOSE AND WE GOT A TA ON TCASII AT 2800 FT. I WAS DISTRACTED BECAUSE THIS PARTICULAR CTLR MAKES MANY MISTAKES AND HAS AN 'ATTITUDE.' HE OFTEN OVERREACTS GIVING US UNNECESSARY HEADING CHANGES AND MUCH TOO SLOW SPDS. IF QUESTIONED, HE HAS REACTED WITH HOSTILITY IN THE PAST. AFTER LNDG AND TURNING OFF THE RWY I NOTICED WE WERE ON APCH CTL FREQ. THERE WERE NO OTHER ACFT LNDG OR TAKING OFF AT THE TIME OF OUR LNDG.
