Narrative:
Upon arrival at okc, aircraft was taxied under marshaller guidance into the jetway at gate XXX. The #1 engine cowl anti-ice lip sustained damage upon impact with the jetway. According to the ramp personnel, there was confusion as to the proper stopping point along the stop line. Enforcement of standardization procedures already in place would have prevented this confusion.

Title: A B737-500 FLC EXPERIENCES A #1 ENG COWL STRIKE ON A MISPARKED JETWAY DURING A NIGHT PARKING OP AT OKC, OK.
Narrative: UPON ARR AT OKC, ACFT WAS TAXIED UNDER MARSHALLER GUIDANCE INTO THE JETWAY AT GATE XXX. THE #1 ENG COWL ANTI-ICE LIP SUSTAINED DAMAGE UPON IMPACT WITH THE JETWAY. ACCORDING TO THE RAMP PERSONNEL, THERE WAS CONFUSION AS TO THE PROPER STOPPING POINT ALONG THE STOP LINE. ENFORCEMENT OF STANDARDIZATION PROCS ALREADY IN PLACE WOULD HAVE PREVENTED THIS CONFUSION.
