Narrative:
I departed 05C en route to huf. Huf was a fuel stop for a flight of 2 helicopters, with a final destination of cps. Both of these aircraft, oh-58 and UH1-H, are owned and operated by the sheriff's department. The purpose of this flight was for transportation of the UH1-H to cps for maintenance. Prior to departure, I obtained a route briefing via duats on the internet. I found that there was an area of restr in the newport, indiana area. I wrote down coordinates for the tfr area and entered them into the aircraft GPS and made a waypoint labeled as 'newtn.' I maintained visual and radio contact with the lead aircraft and when he told me he was nearing the town of newport, I checked the GPS and discovered that the distance from the waypoint would place it south of huf. I saw that the lead aircraft was near a large factory and northeast of a small town (believed to be newport). When I got to the area of the factory, I flew southeast before flying toward huf. Human error in writing down and programming the incorrect coordinates for the newport, indiana tfr area was the contributing factor. As I was approximately 30 mi from khul, the lead aircraft radioed me and advised me that huf tower had assigned me a squawk code and that I needed to contact them. I entered that squawk code and contacted huf tower with my location and intention to land. I was advised to contact the tower upon landing, which I immediately did.

HUMAN ERROR IN WRITING DOWN AND PROGRAMMING THE INCORRECT COORDINATES FOR THE NEWPORT, INDIANA TFR AREA WAS THE CONTRIBUTING FACTOR. AS I WAS APPROX 30 MI FROM KHUL, THE LEAD ACFT RADIOED ME AND ADVISED ME THAT HUF TWR HAD ASSIGNED ME A SQUAWK CODE AND THAT I NEEDED TO CONTACT THEM. I ENTERED THAT SQUAWK CODE AND CONTACTED HUF TWR WITH MY LOCATION AND INTENTION TO LAND. I WAS ADVISED TO CONTACT THE TWR UPON LNDG, WHICH I IMMEDIATELY DID.
