Narrative:
Departing msp, as we were leveling at 7000 ft per clearance, msp departure stated 'aircraft X, radar contact, turn left to 200 degrees and climb to 17000 ft.' the clearance seemed odd, since we had already been advised of 'radar contact.' however, the continued climb and heading change seemed probable. Before we accepted the clearance, the copilot queried departure with words to the effect, 'confirm that was for aircraft X, 200 degrees, and 17000 ft/
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: A320 CREW WAS ISSUED A CLRNC MEANT FOR A DIFFERENT ACFT IN M98 CLASS B AIRSPACE.
Narrative: DEPARTING MSP, AS WE WERE LEVELING AT 7000 FT PER CLRNC, MSP DEP STATED 'ACFT X, RADAR CONTACT, TURN L TO 200 DEGS AND CLB TO 17000 FT.' THE CLRNC SEEMED ODD, SINCE WE HAD ALREADY BEEN ADVISED OF 'RADAR CONTACT.' HOWEVER, THE CONTINUED CLB AND HDG CHANGE SEEMED PROBABLE. BEFORE WE ACCEPTED THE CLRNC, THE COPLT QUERIED DEP WITH WORDS TO THE EFFECT, 'CONFIRM THAT WAS FOR ACFT X, 200 DEGS, AND 17000 FT/
