Narrative:
Autoplt engaged and altitude capture feature armed. Just prior to leveloff, ATC requested when would we like further climb. As we discussed options, captain's altimeter went to FL263 and first officer's altimeter FL262. We descended back to FL260. ATC did not say anything.

Title: ALT OVERSHOT BY DC10 AUTOPLT AS CREW WAS TALKING WITH CTLR AT LFFF, FO.
Narrative: AUTOPLT ENGAGED AND ALT CAPTURE FEATURE ARMED. JUST PRIOR TO LEVELOFF, ATC REQUESTED WHEN WOULD WE LIKE FURTHER CLB. AS WE DISCUSSED OPTIONS, CAPT'S ALTIMETER WENT TO FL263 AND FO'S ALTIMETER FL262. WE DSNDED BACK TO FL260. ATC DID NOT SAY ANYTHING.
