Narrative:

While at cruise, the flight attendant advised the captain and I via the interphone that she was experiencing abdominal pains, frequent need to urinate, and had noticed blood in her urine. She did not feel that immediate action was necessary, other than possibly seeking medical attention upon arrival at the destination, some 45 mins away. 10 mins later, the flight attendant called again and advised that she was in much more pain and was bleeding 'a lot.' the captain and I initiated an immediate divert into grr. The captain contacted company dispatch and operations on communication #2 while I worked with ZOB and grand rapids approach on communication #1 and flew the airplane. The descent, approach, and landing on runway 35 were uneventful. Medical personnel met the flight at the gate and transported the flight attendant to a local hospital via ambulance. No traffic conflicts occurred as a consequence of the diversion, and there were no injuries to any crew or passenger. The flight attendant was treated and released some 7 hours later. ATC was extremely helpful and cooperative throughout the divert.

Title: PLT DIVERTS AND LANDS AT GRR DUE TO ILL CABIN ATTENDANT.

Narrative: WHILE AT CRUISE, THE FLT ATTENDANT ADVISED THE CAPT AND I VIA THE INTERPHONE THAT SHE WAS EXPERIENCING ABDOMINAL PAINS, FREQUENT NEED TO URINATE, AND HAD NOTICED BLOOD IN HER URINE. SHE DID NOT FEEL THAT IMMEDIATE ACTION WAS NECESSARY, OTHER THAN POSSIBLY SEEKING MEDICAL ATTN UPON ARR AT THE DEST, SOME 45 MINS AWAY. 10 MINS LATER, THE FLT ATTENDANT CALLED AGAIN AND ADVISED THAT SHE WAS IN MUCH MORE PAIN AND WAS BLEEDING 'A LOT.' THE CAPT AND I INITIATED AN IMMEDIATE DIVERT INTO GRR. THE CAPT CONTACTED COMPANY DISPATCH AND OPS ON COM #2 WHILE I WORKED WITH ZOB AND GRAND RAPIDS APCH ON COM #1 AND FLEW THE AIRPLANE. THE DSCNT, APCH, AND LNDG ON RWY 35 WERE UNEVENTFUL. MEDICAL PERSONNEL MET THE FLT AT THE GATE AND TRANSPORTED THE FLT ATTENDANT TO A LCL HOSPITAL VIA AMBULANCE. NO TFC CONFLICTS OCCURRED AS A CONSEQUENCE OF THE DIVERSION, AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES TO ANY CREW OR PAX. THE FLT ATTENDANT WAS TREATED AND RELEASED SOME 7 HRS LATER. ATC WAS EXTREMELY HELPFUL AND COOPERATIVE THROUGHOUT THE DIVERT.
