Narrative:

We were on visual approach. First officer's leg. First officer was flying and making a visual approach to runway 25L. First officer turned late and overshot final. A learjet was flying towards runway 19, so when our flight overshot the final we flew farther north than a typical approach. ATC issued TA for us at 1 O'clock position, 3-4 mi north of our position. I saw the traffic and reported the learjet in sight. Told ATC 'we are overshooting final.' first officer turned the aircraft back to runway 25L. We had a short TA on TCASII but never got an RA. I wish I had not called the learjet in sight because it is very difficult to keep traffic in sight during a turn away from the traffic.

Title: POTENTIAL CONFLICT WITH A LEARJET ON APCH TO RWY 19 BY AN A320 ON AN OVERSHOT TURN TO VISUAL, RWY 25, AT LAS, NV.

Narrative: WE WERE ON VISUAL APCH. FO'S LEG. FO WAS FLYING AND MAKING A VISUAL APCH TO RWY 25L. FO TURNED LATE AND OVERSHOT FINAL. A LEARJET WAS FLYING TOWARDS RWY 19, SO WHEN OUR FLT OVERSHOT THE FINAL WE FLEW FARTHER N THAN A TYPICAL APCH. ATC ISSUED TA FOR US AT 1 O'CLOCK POS, 3-4 MI N OF OUR POS. I SAW THE TFC AND RPTED THE LEARJET IN SIGHT. TOLD ATC 'WE ARE OVERSHOOTING FINAL.' FO TURNED THE ACFT BACK TO RWY 25L. WE HAD A SHORT TA ON TCASII BUT NEVER GOT AN RA. I WISH I HAD NOT CALLED THE LEARJET IN SIGHT BECAUSE IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO KEEP TFC IN SIGHT DURING A TURN AWAY FROM THE TFC.
