Narrative:
Our clearance was to taxi from gate to runway 12R via taxiway P, taxiway C, taxiway a. Runway 4/22 was closed. The taxi checklist was being conducted, when the captain missed the turn to taxiway C from taxiway P. Ground control was questioned as to whether flight should continue straight ahead. Ground said to continue to runway 12L as no conflict occurred or was ensuing.
