Narrative:

During a solo cross country flight which included N07-ava-N67-N07 and departing from runway 6 at N67 and while climbing through 2700 ft AGL en route to 3500 ft, the heading placed my aircraft in close proximity to willow grove airport. I was about 3 mi and when I switched to their ATC frequency to request and advise transition, controller advised me of conflicting aircraft traffic. I observed a P3 military plane who was conducting pattern work at 2400 ft AGL. The plane (P3) diverted to the right without incident. Controller informed me that I was on the edge of class D airspace and that I should have communicated earlier. I contacted the ATC controller within 45 seconds and 1 min after takeoff and explained this to ATC. I do not think that my aircraft entered class D airspace, but I offered my apologies to both ATC and crew of the P3 and safely continued the flight without further incident.

Title: NMAC BTWN A C182 CLBING OUT FROM AN UNCTLED ARPT AND A MIL P-3 IN THE TFC PATTERN OF A NEARBY MIL BASE. THE P3 TOOK EVASIVE ACTION AND TURNED AWAY FROM THE CESSNA.

Narrative: DURING A SOLO XCOUNTRY FLT WHICH INCLUDED N07-AVA-N67-N07 AND DEPARTING FROM RWY 6 AT N67 AND WHILE CLBING THROUGH 2700 FT AGL ENRTE TO 3500 FT, THE HDG PLACED MY ACFT IN CLOSE PROX TO WILLOW GROVE ARPT. I WAS ABOUT 3 MI AND WHEN I SWITCHED TO THEIR ATC FREQ TO REQUEST AND ADVISE TRANSITION, CTLR ADVISED ME OF CONFLICTING ACFT TFC. I OBSERVED A P3 MIL PLANE WHO WAS CONDUCTING PATTERN WORK AT 2400 FT AGL. THE PLANE (P3) DIVERTED TO THE R WITHOUT INCIDENT. CTLR INFORMED ME THAT I WAS ON THE EDGE OF CLASS D AIRSPACE AND THAT I SHOULD HAVE COMMUNICATED EARLIER. I CONTACTED THE ATC CTLR WITHIN 45 SECONDS AND 1 MIN AFTER TKOF AND EXPLAINED THIS TO ATC. I DO NOT THINK THAT MY ACFT ENTERED CLASS D AIRSPACE, BUT I OFFERED MY APOLOGIES TO BOTH ATC AND CREW OF THE P3 AND SAFELY CONTINUED THE FLT WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.
