Narrative:

After landing on runway 14 at gpt, we were told by tower to join taxiway a and contact ground control. I completed the after landing checklist while the captain taxied the aircraft. The captain changed the switch position on the nose landing light as I was about to contact ground control. I asked if I had positioned the switches the wrong way. He said that he liked to have the nose landing light on for taxi. I then forgot to call ground. We taxied across an active runway (runway 18/36) without clearance. Ground control contacted us and told us to taxi to the terminal. There were no aircraft conflicts, as no aircraft were landing on runway 18/36. The incident was my fault because I became distraction and forgot to contact ground control.

Title: CL65 FLC FORGOT TO CONTACT GND CTL AFTER LEAVING RWY RESULTING IN TAXIING ACROSS AN ACTIVE RWY WITHOUT CLRNC.

Narrative: AFTER LNDG ON RWY 14 AT GPT, WE WERE TOLD BY TWR TO JOIN TXWY A AND CONTACT GND CTL. I COMPLETED THE AFTER LNDG CHKLIST WHILE THE CAPT TAXIED THE ACFT. THE CAPT CHANGED THE SWITCH POS ON THE NOSE LNDG LIGHT AS I WAS ABOUT TO CONTACT GND CTL. I ASKED IF I HAD POSITIONED THE SWITCHES THE WRONG WAY. HE SAID THAT HE LIKED TO HAVE THE NOSE LNDG LIGHT ON FOR TAXI. I THEN FORGOT TO CALL GND. WE TAXIED ACROSS AN ACTIVE RWY (RWY 18/36) WITHOUT CLRNC. GND CTL CONTACTED US AND TOLD US TO TAXI TO THE TERMINAL. THERE WERE NO ACFT CONFLICTS, AS NO ACFT WERE LNDG ON RWY 18/36. THE INCIDENT WAS MY FAULT BECAUSE I BECAME DISTR AND FORGOT TO CONTACT GND CTL.
