Narrative:
On may/sat/02, I inadvertently encroached the active runway at an uncontrolled airport in front of a plane on final. I did not see the aircraft nor hear his transmission that he was on final. I assume we were not close to colliding, but I heard him loud and clear after I started my takeoff roll. He was very upset. I plan to be more diligent in my scan and plan to get more time in my new aircraft and look for possible blind spots that may have caused the situation. It also would have helped if the approaching aircraft would have announced his location when he heard my transmission for intended departure.
