Narrative:
Altitude deviation. Captain's leg ZZZ to lga. Cleared to descend via korry 1 arrival into lga. Crossed korry at 11000 ft. STAR shows 10000 ft at korry. Both of us missed altitude restr at korry intersection. ZNY brought it to our attention when given clearance to descend to 7000 ft. Captain had positioned STAR page on his chart holder in a way that hid the altitude at korry. (Please note: the altitude for korry intersection is on the opposite side of all other altitude restrs on the chart and behind fold, if chart not completely unfolded.) I was reviewing approach for lda a for lga when deviation occurred. Suggest a bordered block on the page with intxns and their altitude restrs be added for easier reading and quicker identify.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: MD80 CREW DID NOT COMPLY WITH THE XING ALT ON THE KORRY ONE STAR INTO LGA.
Narrative: ALTDEV. CAPT'S LEG ZZZ TO LGA. CLRED TO DSND VIA KORRY 1 ARR INTO LGA. CROSSED KORRY AT 11000 FT. STAR SHOWS 10000 FT AT KORRY. BOTH OF US MISSED ALT RESTR AT KORRY INTXN. ZNY BROUGHT IT TO OUR ATTN WHEN GIVEN CLRNC TO DSND TO 7000 FT. CAPT HAD POSITIONED STAR PAGE ON HIS CHART HOLDER IN A WAY THAT HID THE ALT AT KORRY. (PLEASE NOTE: THE ALT FOR KORRY INTXN IS ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF ALL OTHER ALT RESTRS ON THE CHART AND BEHIND FOLD, IF CHART NOT COMPLETELY UNFOLDED.) I WAS REVIEWING APCH FOR LDA A FOR LGA WHEN DEV OCCURRED. SUGGEST A BORDERED BLOCK ON THE PAGE WITH INTXNS AND THEIR ALT RESTRS BE ADDED FOR EASIER READING AND QUICKER IDENT.
