Narrative:
At iah, I was cleared for a visual approach to runway 15L. As lights on runway 15R were at their absolute highest, I focused on landing on that runway. The lights actually overpowered all others in the area by far. So I set up my visual approach to that runway well out, 7+ mi, as it was truly the only one in sight. It was dark. Prior to landing, tower told me to roll to the end and off at the company which would be taxiway wm. I made a normal visual approach and touchdown. I was well into my rollout when the tower advised me I had landed on runway 15R, a closed runway. Aside from the humility of it all, I am happy the runway was clear of objects. Later discussion indicated the lights were full bright for operational testing. Had the tower only mentioned the lighted runway was being operationally tested and runway 15R was closed, I'm sure the incident would not have occurred.
