Narrative:

After performing an autoland self test check on aircraft, ZZZ1 technician told me I did not need to downgrade aircraft because I did not change or move any rotables. I told him I was not qualified. He said it did not matter, he would not placard the aircraft as downgraded.

Title: A FOKKER 100 WAS DISPATCHED IN NON COMPLIANCE WITH THE AUTOPLT CERTIFIED AND PLACARDED IN AUTOLAND STATUS BY AN UNQUALIFIED TECHNICIAN.

Narrative: AFTER PERFORMING AN AUTOLAND SELF TEST CHK ON ACFT, ZZZ1 TECHNICIAN TOLD ME I DID NOT NEED TO DOWNGRADE ACFT BECAUSE I DID NOT CHANGE OR MOVE ANY ROTABLES. I TOLD HIM I WAS NOT QUALIFIED. HE SAID IT DID NOT MATTER, HE WOULD NOT PLACARD THE ACFT AS DOWNGRADED.
