Narrative:
On 09/mon/01, I installed engine serial number xxxxx in the computer on aircraft X position number #1 (l-hand). In doing the installation, I neglected to add the technical standard order for the XXXX card, which was 11933 at that time. This mistake made it impossible for maintenance operations center to schedule the card for accomplishment because the system was out of sync with the paperwork. In conducting an audit of all the findings based on cards on the MD80 fleet, I found that the work slip for aircraft X position #1 reflected technical standard order for the XXXX card on engine serial number xxxxx while the report reflected accomplishment at installation (0 hours technical standard order). After identing this mistake and confirming that it was not an error in the paperwork, I spoke with my supervisor who then contacted maintenance operations center and the FAA liaison and notified them of the situation.

Title: AN MD80 #1 ENG WAS REPLACED BUT THE MAINT INFO COMPUTER TIME SINCE OVERHAUL WAS ENTERED INCORRECTLY AND WAS IN CONFLICT WITH THE JOB CARD.
Narrative: ON 09/MON/01, I INSTALLED ENG SERIAL NUMBER XXXXX IN THE COMPUTER ON ACFT X POS NUMBER #1 (L-HAND). IN DOING THE INSTALLATION, I NEGLECTED TO ADD THE TECHNICAL STANDARD ORDER FOR THE XXXX CARD, WHICH WAS 11933 AT THAT TIME. THIS MISTAKE MADE IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR MAINT OPS CTR TO SCHEDULE THE CARD FOR ACCOMPLISHMENT BECAUSE THE SYS WAS OUT OF SYNC WITH THE PAPERWORK. IN CONDUCTING AN AUDIT OF ALL THE FINDINGS BASED ON CARDS ON THE MD80 FLEET, I FOUND THAT THE WORK SLIP FOR ACFT X POS #1 REFLECTED TECHNICAL STANDARD ORDER FOR THE XXXX CARD ON ENG SERIAL NUMBER XXXXX WHILE THE RPT REFLECTED ACCOMPLISHMENT AT INSTALLATION (0 HRS TECHNICAL STANDARD ORDER). AFTER IDENTING THIS MISTAKE AND CONFIRMING THAT IT WAS NOT AN ERROR IN THE PAPERWORK, I SPOKE WITH MY SUPVR WHO THEN CONTACTED MAINT OPS CTR AND THE FAA LIAISON AND NOTIFIED THEM OF THE SIT.
