Narrative:
On localizer runway 27 iah before trann intersection at 4000 ft MSL, cleared to 3000 ft. ATC called out VFR traffic 10 O'clock position, left to right. TCASII showed aircraft climbing. We had no visual in haze. We were level at 3000 ft, VFR. Aircraft was still climbing. TA advisory went to RA warning, directed climb which was immediately accomplished. VFR aircraft was seen coming out on right side. We were within 300-200 ft vertical separation. We were on localizer 27 between trann and dento intxns (19.5 - 14.5 DME).
