Narrative:

After gear retraction, the left main landing gear did not indicate up and locked. The aircraft landed uneventfully in ZZZ1 and maintenance found the #4 flap track fairing hanging from the forward end and the left main landing gear inner and middle door broken. Initial inspection revealed no castellated nut on the mounting stud.

Title: A B737-300 RETURNED TO THE FIELD DUE TO L MAIN GEAR UNSAFE LIGHT CAUSED BY #4 FLAP FAIRING BROKEN AND INTERFERING WITH THE INNER AND MIDDLE GEAR DOORS.

Narrative: AFTER GEAR RETRACTION, THE L MAIN LNDG GEAR DID NOT INDICATE UP AND LOCKED. THE ACFT LANDED UNEVENTFULLY IN ZZZ1 AND MAINT FOUND THE #4 FLAP TRACK FAIRING HANGING FROM THE FORWARD END AND THE L MAIN LNDG GEAR INNER AND MIDDLE DOOR BROKEN. INITIAL INSPECTION REVEALED NO CASTELLATED NUT ON THE MOUNTING STUD.
