Publication | ENGINEERING ORDER |
Narrative:
Aircraft was intermixed engines before 'C' check (-7 engine and -9 engines). Aircraft came out of 'C' check de-intermixed (both engines -9). I work in maintenance control, and was never notified of the change. The engineering order (engineering authority/authorized) has a step to notify maintenance control of the change. That is the procedure and maintenance control was never notified of the change. The crew on 07/wed/02 noticed 2 of 4 cockpit placards missing and questioned maintenance control of possible de-intermix. That's where the aircraft was grounded by me until problem with paperwork and ram air temperature indicator were resolved.
