Narrative:
Departed las on the idale RNAV. On initial contact with departure he gave us direct idale. Approaching idale just prior to the turn direct to shead, (we were still at 7000 ft) we asked departure for higher. He gave us 11000 ft. We initiated the climb from 7000 ft up to 11000 ft just as we were passing idale. About 45 seconds later a controller said company number low altitude alert turn left 220 degrees. I turned left to 220 degrees while my first officer said that we were turning and we had the terrain in sight. No further comments were made. Supplemental information from acn 556976: departing las on the LNAV idale 1 departure oal transition. Altitude 7000 ft. Departure control did not issue us higher altitude. As the aircraft began its turn over idale we asked departure for a higher altitude. He issued us a higher altitude at that time of 11000 ft. We were past idale at this time. We began a climb. ATC called us back about 45 seconds later stating low altitude alert and gave us a heading. We stated we had terrain in sight and complied. Nothing else was said of the incident by ATC.
